Leadership Abstracts. All Aboard for Online Collaboration – Project SAIL: Specialty Asynchronous Industry Learning by Stella Perez (January 2007). Project SAIL’s online courses provide community colleges with a cost-effective way to address the increasing need to prepare students for the workforce. Read about the many solutions offered by Project SAIL and its partners in the January issue of Leadership Abstracts.
Learning Abstracts. Quality Online Education: A Social Authoring Approach by Ruth Rominger (January 2007). The demand for quality online courses still falls heavily on faculty, but they don't have to go it alone. Innovation Showcase. Celebrating Publishing in the Pines: Montgomery College Offers a Festival a Home by Cliff Hudder and Alicia Bankston (January 2007). The Texas Writers and Publishers Festival, which lost its funding in 2001, was revitalized last year thanks to a partnership between Montgomery College and the local Literary Arts Council.
