The New York Times Announces 2nd Annual Innovative Teaching and Learning Award Competition

The League for Innovation and The New York Times invite League Alliance Member institutions to participate in the 2nd annual Innovative Teaching and Learning Awards. Member colleges are encouraged to nominate two faculty members and two students who have shown exceptional growth or creativity through the use of The New York Times. To determine if your college is a League Alliance Member, visit http://membership.league.org/allimembers.html. Please visit the League website to download the faculty and student application forms.

The New York Times College Website. To find curriculum guides and instructional strategies, faculty should visit The Times college website at www.nytimes.com/college. There, faculty can do a search of over 160 subject areas that will provide them the last 10 articles from The Times. In addition, faculty and students can also sign up for email alerts on topics that are of interest to them. The Navigator tool is used by New York Times reporters and editors for their forays onto the web and is a great research tool for students and faculty.
