Project Highlights. Since 2002, Moraine Valley
Community College Library, John A. Logan College Library, and Illinois Central
College Library have come together to create the Information Literacy Summit. The summit
invites librarians and educational administrators to learn strategies for
implementing and advancing information literacy instruction in Illinois institutions and
classrooms. Partner Spotlight. Learn about Microsoft’s plan to bring information technology to the five
billion people who still have no access. The Microsoft Unlimited Potential project focuses on education, innovation, and job opportunities and aspires to have one billion people up and running by 2015. Innovative Educators. Webinars, Dangerous Discussions, and Flashlight. “Best Practices in Information
Literacy,” introduces resources and ACRL best practices,
covers current trends and challenges connected with information literacy, and
identifies key elements of model programs. This workshop will run on December 2,
9, and 11 at 1:00 p.m. EST, and free seating is available. eLearning. iStream’s new elearning content provides open educational resources and discounted license agreements for specialty workforce development programs targeting high-demand industries and careers. This month, Monroe Community

of American Sign Language in emergency
