Focus on Developmental Education

Project Highlights. Delta College builds developmental education into its curriculum and services creating opportunities for willing learners who otherwise may not have access to postsecondary education. Read how the college keeps teachers and learners in the developmental loop and hear about a brand new learning community that crosses departmental boundaries.

TLT Webinars, Dangerous Discussions, and Flashlight. TLT’s webinar, “Best Practices in Information Literacy,” will introduce a variety of related resources and ACRL best practices, cover current trends and challenges connected with information literacy, and identify key elements of model programs. This workshop will run on December 2, 9, and 11 at 1:00 p.m. EST, and free seating is available.

eLearning. iStream’s new elearning content provides open educational resources and discounted license agreements for specialty workforce development programs targeting high-demand industries and careers. This month, learn all about parenting from Anne Arundel Community College and enjoy courses on environmental science, physics, history, and government from Monterey Institute for Technology and Education.

NROC. Watch “The Global Reach of Open Educational Resources: A View from China” to learn about the global OER movement, an effort to increase educational opportunities around the world.
