Recent Publications From the League

Each month, the League publishes Leadership Abstracts, Learning Abstracts, and Innovation Showcase. The most recent editions are available on the League website:

Leadership Abstracts. “Defending the Community College Equity Agenda” by Thomas Bailey and Vanessa Smith Morest (May 2007). CCRC’s compilation of the National Field Study of Community Colleges, Defending the Community College Equity Agenda, takes a look at whether the various missions of community colleges harm or help the struggle to achieve educational equity. The book, which has multiple contributors with shared expertise in education, is highlighted in the May issue of Leadership Abstracts.

Learning Abstracts. “Connections That Empower Learning” by Alicia Harvey-Smith (May 2007). The road to transformational learning is paved with effective collaboration between academic and student affairs. Alicia Harvey-Smith presents a list of strategies for bridging the departmental gap in the May issue of Learning Abstracts.

Innovation Showcase. “2007 Innovation of the Year Award Winners” from the League (May 2007).
