Workforce Professionals Meet in Kansas City July 17–19

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration Workforce Innovations Conference is the department’s premier annual workforce and economic development conference. The conference, titled Beyond Boundaries, offers almost limitless information and models for colleges and their local workforce partners. With the intent to prepare stakeholders to meet the demands of the 21st century marketplace, the conference helps regional partners as they develop strategies that go beyond boundaries and limitations, whether those are historical, geographical, political, or financial. Committed to the belief that it is essential that regional partners work collaboratively to develop the talent of their workers and that the workforce system becomes the catalyst for an educated and prepared workforce. Workforce Innovations 2007 will explore ways in which key partners, including business, economic development, education and workforce systems, can collaborate and innovate to break down boundaries and create a competitive advantage.
