Read about San Diego Community College District’s path, support, and success in the April issue of Leadership Abstracts.

Learning Abstracts. “So You Want to Be a Leader? What Every College Student Should Know” by Earl Paul (April 2007). Keep your egos off the table. The etiquette of successful leadership and personal integrity are on the menu in Earl Paul’s timely book. Read how this matter-of-fact, 163-page softcover lays out the hard truths about what it takes for students to become effective leaders in the April issue of Learning Abstracts.

Innovation Showcase. “Life Elevation Skills: A Community Partnership to Reduce Barriers to Housing” by David Throgmorton and Kathryn Murray (April 2007). Helping families help themselves is a LEAP toward a better future. College of the Redwoods and the Community Assistance Network teamed up to design a cost-effective course around the need for better housing and coping mechanisms for poverty-inflicted families in Del Norte County.
