Impulse Point Announces Partnership
With Foundation for California Community Colleges

SACRAMENTO, CA - Impulse Point, provider of the most scalable network access control solution for large enterprise networks, has announced a partnership with the Foundation of California Community Colleges to provide Safe•Connect™ to the CollegeBuys Purchasing Programs.

The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) assists community colleges and other partner schools in operating more effectively and efficiently through donations, grants, programs, and services that drive excellence while also saving millions of dollars each year. The CollegeBuys Purchasing Programs allow organizations to tap into this enormous aggregate buying power, resulting in savings on a wide variety of products and services.

“We’re delighted to be working with the FCCC and providing IT security and network infrastructure protection to the largest community college system in the nation,” says Peter Bonalos, Regional Business Development Executive, Impulse Point. “Our Safe•Connect™ NAC solution is very well suited for community colleges with multiple campuses and distributed networks. Because our solution is both vendor-independent and scalable, administrators can protect thousands of devices with a single policy appliance.”

Safe•Connect is a network access control (NAC) solution that easily integrates into vendor diverse network environments with minimum hardware components or management overhead by delivering a switch independent alternative to isolate noncompliant endpoint devices at Layer2. Safe•Connect is also compatible with 802.1x, providing the flexibility to quarantine users at the router, switch, or endpoint device.

Designed for highly scalable and vendor-diverse environments, Impulse Point’s Safe•Connect™ Open Network Access Control (OpenNAC) solution enables organizations to automate and enforce end-user authentication, anti-virus, anti-spyware, Microsoft security patches, P2P file sharing, and custom endpoint security policies. The result is a more secure, reliable, and predictable IT network infrastructure. Impulse Point (www.impulse.com) is headquartered in Florida and is one of Tampa Bay’s premier technology innovators.
