Walden University Doctoral Studies Scholarship

Walden University now offers a need-based scholarship program to support and promote doctoral study. Known as the Walden University Doctoral Studies Scholarship, the fund is available for new Ph.D. and Ed.D. students across the university.

The Ph.D. in Education program produces leaders who can address the nation’s most pressing educational challenges. Each of the specializations, including Community College Leadership, is designed to meet students’ professional interests and the needs of their organizations. Walden’s Ed.D. program has two specializations, Teacher Leadership and Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning. Both are semester-based programs designed for educators who want to continue their practice while assuming leadership roles in their schools and communities.

The Walden University Doctoral Studies Scholarship fund will award 100 scholarships of up to $10,000 each, which will be available to new students who meet financial need criteria, in increments of up to $2,000 per financial aid year. The deadline for submission for the February 26, 2007, start is February 19, 2007, and the deadline for the March 5, 2007, start is February 26, 2007. For more information about the Walden Doctoral Studies Scholarship visit www.WaldenU.edu/dss or call an enrollment advisor at 866-492-5336.
