Getting Started

Everything you need to get started with gameplay for the Innovations’ 2013 game PinPoint is on this page. Don’t delay, get started now!

Participate in one (or several) of the PinPoint Quests (see Quest page for details). After you have completed an entire quest (start to finish) make sure to fill out your paper “ticket”  (see image below) and submit it to the game booth for entrance into the drawing for various prizes, including an iPad. image of game card - PinPoint For extra entries, use your Twitter account to tweet out about your quest activities. Make sure to use the Innovations 2013 hashtag (#INND13) for every tweet so that it gets recorded! Other quests and prizes will be announced during the conference. Be sure to check back here and follow the Conference and Game twitter accounts as well as the #INND13 Twitter stream.

Maximize your potential for winning by using your Twitter account!  Using the paper tickets to engage will enter you into the drawing for prizes, but additionally, if you tweet about your quest, you will be added TWICE FOR EACH completed quest!  Consider using your Twitter account for doubling your chances at winning:

Getting started with Twitter is as easy as 1,2,3…..

#1 Get a Twitter accountIf you already have a Twitter account, skip to step #2

  1. Go to twitter.com
  2. Fill in your name, email and create a password and click Sign up.
  3. Create your Twitter handle/username — think of who you are an what you will represent with this username.

#2 Follow Us!

  1. Login to your Twitter account.
  2. Click the Connect button at the top of the screen.

3.  Search for the following Twitter handles by typing the username in the box next to the search button and then clicking on Search:

  • InnovationsConf (conference handle)
  • ljballard (game master handle)
  • rrodrigo (game master handle)

 

4.  From the list of matching people, click the Follow button to add them to the list of people you follow.

#3 Start TweetingPick your phone type below 

  • “Smart Phone”  –If you have a phone or mobile device with a marketplace for downloading apps
  1. Go to your phone’s marketplace and download a Twitter app.
  2. Install the app and send updates by opening the app.
 Try searching for these apps :Twitterific, Peep, Twitter
  • Flip phone or non-marketplace phone –If you have a phone without a marketplace, but can text message
  1. Click on your profile button (little person icon) and select Settings.
  2. Click the Mobile option on the left and input your cell number and click “Activate phone.”
  3. Tweet by texting your updates to 40404.
