Boost your career in 24-36 hours with PATHS

Multiple opportunities for academic management positions are available due to demographic changes and academic hiring practices. Some thought leaders are referring to an academic leadership crisis. Click here for an informative presentation about the issue.

Accelerated Career Paths for Higher Education offers a unique career-boosting opportunity for college and university employees who have started their management careers or aspire to leadership positions.

Sponsors of the program include the League for Innovation in the Community College, Link-Systems International, Inc., MentorCloud, Open Doors Group and SoftChalk LLC. The combination of these sponsors offers a unique collaboration of associations, thought leaders, and tools vendors all lending their expertise.

Paths provides approximately 4-6 hours per week of affordable and convenient, interactive online training.

This program is egalitarian in admissions and elitist in content:

  • Program dates: September 14 - October 24, 2015
  • Registration closes: September 10, 2015

Why PATHS? - Key reasons to join this program:

  • Unlike Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that experience high drop-out and low participation rates, PATHS participants become members of a community of current and aspiring higher education leaders and managers.
  • The program has been thoroughly reviewed and revised based on the 55 educators who have participate in the past. These educators include managers in K12, community colleges, and universities and include an acting college president and several vice-presidents, deans, department chairs, and administrative managers.
  • PATHS participants are eligible to receive four months of on-line mentoring November 2, 2015 to February 29, 2016 at no additional cost and/or they can become mentors and begin earning a mentoring certification. This is a $195 value. See ODG Career Mentoring.
  • Tuition is a fraction of that charged in comparable workshops and there are no travel expenses.
