Description: This certificate program is designed for adult and family literacy educators to enhance their educational background in adult learning theories and practice, planning, and organizing adult ed instruction, and teaching ABE/ESL/Family Literacy. The 3-credit hour courses include the following topics: Intro to Adult Education; Planning, Organizing, & Delivering Adult Education; Adult Basic/Adult Secondary Education, Teaching ESL to Adult Learners, and Family Literacy in Adult Education.

Description: The program is designed for students seeking careers in corrections and law enforcement. Description: Introduction to Early Childhood Professions (Introduccion a las Professiones de Ninez Tempranas) is a three-credit course delivered in Spanish, which provides an introduction to Early Childhood Education. It includes the eight key areas of professional knowledge: Child Growth and Development; Health, Nutrition and Safety; Developmentally Appropriate Practices; Guidance; Family and Community Relationships; Diversity; Professionalism; Administration and Supervision. The focus is on birth through age eight.

Program Title: Occupational Safety Certificate Program

Description: The Occupational Safety Certificate Program is designed to meet the needs of students employed in industrial settings to better prepare for a safety-related position. The Safety Certificate Program is comprised of courses including, but not limited to General Industry Standards, Construction Standards, Hazardous Materials, Industrial Hygiene, Accident Prevention, Worker's Compensation, and Safety Training Methods. The curriculum meets the guidelines jointly developed by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
