Description: The Chemical Dependency Program at Rio Salado College is designed to train practitioners in the field of chemical dependency. The program's focus is on offering education to persons seeking to become chemical dependency professionals or paraprofessionals. The program offers two levels of chemical dependency counseling certificates as well as an Associate of Applied Science (AAS).
The Associate of Applied Science is designed to meet the needs of students seeking to become certified with state and/or national chemical dependency counseling certification boards. |

| Program Title: Clinical Dental Assisting |

Description: The Clinical Dental Assisting Program prepares students to practice advanced level dental assisting; including working chair side with dentists during patient treatments, assisting with dental procedures, exposing radiographs, taking impressions, and attending to the well-being of patients. Courses are a blend of academic and clinical work, and students have ready access to all the necessary support services and online computer support help desk. Courses are complemented by comprehensive video instruction and feature unique distance lab kits. Students complete their assignments online and return finished lab projects by mail. State/national certification depending on state, can be completed with a 20 hour in-person practicum and 300 hour internship. |

Courses focus on patrol procedures, criminal investigations, criminal and traffic law, officer survival, police ethics, report writing, criminalistics, communications and search and seizure. Professional services include assisting students in preparation and placement within the criminal justice field. |
