The League's student art scholarship endowment is named in honor of internationally renowned southwestern artist and educator, Amado M. Peña, Jr. Peña is a distinguished graduate from Laredo Community College in Texas, who is dedicated to supporting community college students in their pursuits of art and has generously donated artwork to help seed the endowment for this scholarship.
