The Education Trust promotes and supports policies that raise academic achievement for all students at all levels, pre-kindergarten through college. The organization’s goal is to close the gaps in opportunity and achievement for students from low-income families, particularly students who are black, Latino, or American Indian. In partnership with the National Association of System Heads, the Education Trust works with 22 public higher education systems that have pledged to cut the college attendance and graduation gaps for low-income and minority students in half by 2015 as part of the Access to Success (A2S) Initiative. A2S efforts include a partnership with three community colleges to build Do the Math, a national course redesign project that increases the number of students passing college math courses.
