PROJECTS RELATED TO THE HIGH-SCHOOL-TO-COLLEGE TRANSITION
-
College for Every Student (CFES)
http://www.collegefes.org
The goal of CFES is to improve the high school graduation and college success rates of underserved students by raising their academic performance and educational aspirations. Since its founding in 1991, CFES has helped thousands of public school students nationwide to take steps toward college through mentoring, school-college partnerships, and student leadership programs. CFES engages each participating student in three core practices—Pathways to College, Mentoring, and Leadership through Service—designed to provide student exposure to higher education, foster academic and personal growth, and identify and express leadership potential. CFES works with students at 150 rural and urban schools across the U.S., most of whom would be first generation college students.
