STRAYER UNIVERSITY


Executive Summary

Washington, DC-based Strayer University is a member of the League’s alliance program, and we have been partnering with two-year colleges for decades. We currently have 77 articulation agreements in place, including two statewide agreements, which facilitate the entire associate’s degree program into Strayer University. The number of Colleges we work with is expanding rapidly as we enter new states and with the success of our Strayer University Online programs. We are always looking for new ways to work with two-year colleges to enhance the educational experience of working adults.

Strayer University was founded in Baltimore in 1892 to help meet the demand for an educated workforce in a changing in a changing economy. Strayer is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and licensed to operate in the Alabama, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Strayer University offers 38 specific programs of study including:

  • Master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs in accounting, business and information systems.
  • Certificate and diploma programs in computer information systems, networking, web programming, network security, acquisition and contract management, international business, accounting and marketing.

Strayer University has 47 campus locations from which students may choose. Students may also take advantage of Strayer University’s popular online programs, which allow students to complete their entire degree, or just take a few courses, via the Internet.
