Innovation is alive and well in the community college! Fifty outstanding innovations--ranging from college transition advisors based at high schools and a fabricated aircraft fuel system simulator to a sustainable urban farm program for students and the community--have been recognized with the League's Innovation of the Year award.
A new report from MDC analyzes the experiences of five Achieving the Dream community colleges and the investments they have made in implementing an institutionwide improvement process aimed at increasing students' success over the course of five years. The report provides lessons for colleges, policymakers, and funders interested in embarking on a similar path toward community college improvement.
