Welcome, Innovations presenters! The 17th annual Innovations conference incorporates ideas and initiatives from ten streams into the broader goal of encouraging and facilitating student and organizational learning through innovation, experimentation, and institutional transformation. Your participation at Innovations represents your dedication to the future of education.
The League invites you to showcase your college’s model programs and share lessons learned by submitting a proposal to present at the 2015 Innovations conference.
The League reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal. Reasons for rejection include, but are not limited to, topics not appropriate for the conference’s theme, insufficient space on the program, and failure to register for the conference.
If your proposal is accepted, you will be required to submit a Presenter Agreement Form, which includes conference registration, by December 12, 2014.
Click here for more information and to submit a proposal.
Presenters are automatically registered for the conference when they submit the Presenter Agreement Form. The registration fee must be received at that time, or by January 12, 2015, in order for presenter names to appear in the Conference Program.
Once presenters have paid, a confirmation will be provided. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact Judy Greenfield at 480.705.8200, x200. Neither honoraria nor expenses will be provided to session presenters.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances that preclude presenter participation. Should this occur, we appreciate your help in minimizing the impact of such changes. If you find that you are unable to attend the conference, please email Lee Anna Elmore as soon as possible. In the message, include your name, the title of your presentation, and the reason you are canceling.
All cancellations must be received in writing by February 6, 2015. Please note that you are responsible for payment if you do not cancel and do not attend. Refunds minus a $50 cancellation fee will be issued after the conference for cancellations received in writing by February 6, 2015. Conference fees for written cancellations received after February 6, 2015, will not be refunded, but can be applied toward a future League conference or summit by anyone at your college within one year. Participant substitutions can be made at any time.
The 2015 Innovations conference will take place over 3.5 days starting at 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 8, and ending at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11. The Conference at a Glance provides a big picture view of all activities taking place at the conference.
Video Streaming Sessions
Special Sessions will be recorded for future delivery on iStream, the League's web-based, multi-media portal. All Special Session presenters will be notified and asked for their permission to record their session. No session will be recorded without written permission from all presenters involved in that session. For more information about iStream, contact Cheri Jessup.
Session formats include Special Sessions, Forums, Roundtable Discussions, and Poster Sessions. Each session format is described in detail at Session Descriptions.
Presentations Posted on the Web
Presentation materials will be posted on the League’s website after the conference for presenters who provide their files. This is entirely optional. Presenters who want their files posted online should provide them to the Speaker Support/Professional Development Office upon arriving onsite or send them to Lee Anna Elmore after the conference (include session title, presenter name(s), and day/time of the presentation). Files will not be edited or changed and will be posted exactly as they are received.
Please email Lee Anna Elmore or call 480.705.8200, ext. 234.
