The National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs welcomes you to its second annual conference, Bridging Teacher Education: From the Past to the Future in San Francisco , California , February 27-29, 2004 at the San Francisco Hilton in conjunction with the League for Innovation in the Community College Innovations 2004 Conference.

Community colleges are well positioned to attract and train high quality, diverse pre K-12 teachers across the country. Community colleges are responding to the new federal mandates through innovative programs across all content areas, as well as teacher education certification programs.

You are invited to join community college professionals from across the country in advancing the future of local and national teacher pre service and other education programs at the Bridging Teacher Education: From the Past to the Future national conference.

Bridging Teacher Education will include a grants showcase, panel discussions, poster sessions, breakout sessions and keynote presentations. The conference will highlight quality teacher education programs and program development, online programs, a National issues panel, certification issues, state standards and recruitment and retention concerns.
