Statement:  "If you do what you love, you will never work a day your life." No matter what profession or position, at the end of the day, everything boils down to people. Teaching is about empowerment, encouragement, and passion. I feel utterly blessed to be able to wake up every morning and spend my day around people from all walks of life, people who are on a journey for improvement, and people who teach me more than any textbook ever could. Although I teach English, my dominant objective is to use writing and literature to teach my students real character—self-confidence, self-discipline, and self-awareness. When they leave my classroom, I want my students to own their thoughts, feel confident in their individuality, and motivated to press through the journey of their lives. It is my pleasure and honor to use the art of writing and literature along with my own personal experiences to daily empower the diverse lives of what I like to call “the heart of people.”
