Statement:	I believe there is no system of higher education more egalitarian, socially just or embracing of diversity than community college. I teach to make a difference. Every day, my colleagues and I impact individual lives, families, and whole communities. I teach because I greatly respect my students. They make daily sacrifices for their higher education. I teach because I open doors to possibility and opportunity - to worlds in which my students deserve roles and membership.
