Statement:	It is a pleasure and an honor to be present when people turn and reach for new skills and habits, taking risks and reassessing themselves as learners as they write over past failures. The joy of teaching: it calls on me to knit together the experience, knowledge, and character I have; to keep learning so that others will learn. What is critical, for me, is knowing the learning destination, observing students as they learn, and creating positive relationships.
