Statement:	We are excited to contribute to the development of music education at Snow College by launching our new Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music degree. I have long felt that we often do things because we have always done them, not because they are the right things to do. We most likely even do these things well. The question is, are these practices valid and meaningful to our students? We at the Division of Fine Arts at Snow College are determined to use the best interests of our students as the primary metric for making decisions and driving policy. The new music curriculum results from our efforts to provide student musicians with the tools they will need for success in the twenty-first century.
