Statement:	Two Things inspire me about teaching: my love of reading and my students! Teaching reading provides a unique opportunity to effect change in students, to be a catalyst in their academic growth, and in their lives. To teach people to read is a great honor, as the ability to read is so tied to a person’s self-worth. It is a joyful calling to be able to encourage and facilitate learning, to watch the students grow and expand intellectually, and to hear the “I get it!” when they do.
