Statement:	As College of Alameda faculty, the three of us joined forces to help our most at-risk students succeed – by addressing their academic needs and self-confidence. Our role as the “founding mothers” is on a volunteer basis and we work actively behind the scenes ranging from meeting with administration to participating in fundraisers, field trips and other events. Being nominated for this award is uplifting because we are being recognized at a very prestigious level.
