Statement:	Getting students excited about science and engineering is what motivates me. I strive to accomplish this through the use of classroom demonstrations and activities that link the concepts being learned to everyday experiences. Outside the classroom, my colleagues and I put on a fun, memorable physics demonstration show each year for elementary and middle school students in the community. In 2013, our seventh year, over 8000 people saw The Physics Show. I am also an active member and officer of the Northern California-Nevada Chapter of the American Association of Physics Teachers and faculty advisor to a student club called the Science and Engineering Association.
