Statement:	My youth group has one underlying principle from which all of our rules derive. “We are all God’s children, and we should treat each other that way.” What motivates me in my youth ministry is the same thing that motivates me in the mathematics classroom. I strive to have a servant heart. I can’t learn the mathematics for my students but I can help shape their experiences with mathematics in ways that give them opportunities to increase their motivation and understanding.
