Statement:	I am honored and humbled by the recognition of my colleagues. I cannot articulate how meaningful it is to receive an award named after two of my mentors. As a faculty member and administrator at San Jacinto College, I create intentional connections with all constituents. I make student success my ultimate measure in everything I do. I find importance in serving those I teach and lead. I attained an A.A.S. 12 years ago; my experiences as a community college student influence all that I do.
