Conference participants will receive an Awards program during the Innovations conference closing ceremony. Each League member president will receive an Awards program in the mail after the conference. Specially cast, pewter medallions will be given to each John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards recipient upon check-in at Innovations conference registration. Recipients are encouraged to wear their medallions throughout the conference. For those unable to attend, medallions will be sent to the college president in April. Recipients do not need to attend the Innovations conference to receive their award.

Each Excellence Awards recipient will receive an honorary certificate that will include their name and award year. Certificates will be mailed to the college president/chancellor in mid April.

Innovations Conference Events

All Excellence Awards recipients are invited to attend the next Innovations conference, at which special events are planned to celebrate their accomplishment. Attendance is optional, and is not required to receive this award. Excellence Awards event participation at the Innovations conference is celebratory; the League does not provide an honorarium, travel expenses, or compensation for conference registration.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Kick-Off Event

At this exclusive event on Sunday, recipients will be congratulated and celebrated for their exemplary work. The Kick-Off will take place Sunday, March 20, 3:30 p.m.-4:15 p.m. (location TBD). Due to space limitations, this event is for 2015 Excellence Awards recipients only.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Recipient Highlights

A selection of recipient photos, statements, and videos will be featured at the Excellence Awards Kick-Off and Celebration. Those who did not submit a YouTube video prior to attending Innovations will have the opportunity to record a video onsite during the conference. The purpose of the video is to inspire and motivate community college faculty, staff, and administrators, and show the diversity and richness of community colleges.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Photo and Video Session Opportunity

If you would like a photo with your family and colleagues, a photographer will be available during the Sunday and Monday evening receptions in the exhibition hall. Additionally, Chattanooga State Community College representatives will be on hand capturing video interviews from those who would like to participate. A video montage from these interview sessions will be shown at the Wednesday Excellence Awards Celebration and Closing Session. Both photos and video session opportunities will take place in the exhibition hall on Sunday, March 20, 6:30-8:00 p.m., and Monday, March 21, 5:45-7:30 p.m.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Celebration and Closing Session

The closing session of the conference on Wednesday pays special tribute to the 2015 Excellence Awards recipients. The Awards program, featuring all recipients, will be distributed to participants. As the session comes to a close, recipients will be asked to stand and have their medallions formally hung around their necks. This is a moving event that you will not want to miss! The Closing Session takes place on Wednesday, March 23, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., in the Sheraton Chicago Ballroom, Level 4.
