John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards FAQs

My college missed the deadline to submit recipients for the John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards. Are we still able to submit names to receive the award?
Yes. However, unfortunately names received after the deadline will not be included in the Awards Program or other related publications and print materials. You will be able to find them on the current year’s online Recipient List. Please contact Cheri Jessup for additional information.

My college has told me I am a recipient, but I have not received any notification from the League. What should I do?
Please contact Cheri Jessup to be sure the League has received your college's submission form, and that the information has been verified by your college president.

How was I selected for this award?
Each college has their own selection criteria. Please check your “Request for Recipient Information” or “Recipient Information” email to see who that person is for your college, or contact Cheri Jessup to find out who that person is.

I was notified that I am a John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards recipient, so what’s next?
Next-step instructions can be found in your “Request for Recipient Information” or “Recipient Information” reminder email.

Do I have to submit a photo, statement, and YouTube video?
No. These are not mandatory. However, if you are interested in submitting any/all of these items, click here to review the guidelines. Please note that each recipient receives email notices with a unique link to a personal submission page, and instructions for submitting these materials. A congratulatory “Request for Recipient Information” email notice is sent automatically when the recipient is verified, and reminders are also automatically sent until the materials are submitted or until the deadline expires.

I submitted my personal statement, photo, and/or video, however I would like to update the information. How can I do I make these changes?
Please refer to the unique link contained in your original “Request for Recipient Information” or “Recipient Information Confirmation” emails.

If I am planning to attend the Innovations conference, do I have to register?
Yes. Anyone attending the conference is required to register and pay the conference registration fee. This will allow you participate in the conference, as well as pick up your medallion and Excellence Awards Program onsite, and join in all of the events being held in celebration of receiving this award. If I am unable to attend the Innovations conference, do I still qualify to I receive my award?
Yes. You do not need to attend the Innovation conference to receive this award. Your certificate will be mailed to the college’s Excellence Awards contact prior to the Innovations conference. Your medallion and Excellence Awards Program will be mailed to your college president by late April. Please contact them for information about receiving these items.

Our college would like to place a congratulatory ad in the Excellence Awards Program. How do we do this?
