Take the Vision K-20 Survey

SIIA Education Division Announces Opening of 2011 Vision K-20 Survey

Survey to provide educators with benchmark of growth toward Vision for K-20

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) recently announced the opening of the fourth annual Vision K-20 Survey. Sponsored by the organization’s Education Division, the Vision K-20 Survey gives educational institutions an opportunity to take a short, online survey to benchmark their current technology use.

Focusing on goals outlined in the Vision roadmap, including 21st century tools, accessibility, differentiated learning, assessment tools and enterprise support, institutions—classrooms, schools, districts, two-year colleges, and four-year universities—will be able to use the Vision’s benchmarks to monitor their progress, and can complete the survey periodically as they work toward the Vision for K-20 in education.

SIIA member organizations worked together to develop the Vision K-20 initiative to serve as a guide for educational institutions to implement technology district- and campus-wide. This survey aims to collect additional data that will broadly assist educators in taking this important project to the next level of knowledge and success.

“We’ve developed a vision for K-20 education to ensure all students have access to a learning environment that prepares them to compete globally and lead the world in innovation,” said Karen Billings, vice president of SIIA’s Education Division. “As institutions complete the Survey, we hope it will set benchmarks for current and future progress in working toward the Vision to build a technology-savvy, educational atmosphere that helps to facilitate 21st century learning.”

Educators and administrators: In just 10 minutes, you can find out how well your institution is using technology to meet your educational objectives. For the second year, the League for Innovation is pleased to support this **Vision K-20** initiative from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).

The survey measures progress in the implementation of 21st century tools, anytime/anywhere access, differentiated learning, assessment tools, and enterprise support. Take the survey at
http://www.siia.net/visionk20/survey/survey.asp to benchmark your class, schools, or district progress toward achieving this Vision. The survey is open through June 10. See your results immediately (although individual results will remain anonymous and will not be shared publicly). To thank you for participating, you will receive a copy of the final report and will be eligible for drawings for Apple iTunes or Starbucks gift cards, courtesy of SIIA. If you have questions, please email Karen.billings@siia.net.

Thank you for making our survey a success!
