IP Physical Security Solutions From Cisco
Using IP Physical Security Technologies to Improve Campus Safety
Wednesday, October 20
8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET
Join Mike Long and Matt Hughes, IT leads from California State University Channel Islands (CI), and Adam Petrovsky from NIC Partners, who will share how CI is accomplishing their objectives to improve campus safety with Physical Security technologies on the IP network.
CI, based in Camarillo, California, has been using collaboration technologies to support its 3200 students and 250 faculty and staff. Using Cisco Access Control and Video Surveillance, CI was able to integrate single card technology to better monitor student activity on campus through increased control of building access, improving the educational experience and administration of education. They also achieved ease-of-use objectives by integrating door access to Cisco phones, which helped reduce management time for staff by allowing access control at any phone endpoint on campus.
In this webcast you will learn:
- Approaches and processes that you can use for how to evaluate your campus safety and technology requirements
- Best practices and lessons learned for how to successfully plan and deploy campus safety using IP physical security solutions on the IP Network
- Examples and tools used to solve network and physical security integration problems and address campus safety requirements
All participants of the webcast will be entered into a Cisco drawing for a chance to win a Flip Video camera.
