The Accelerated Learning Project (ALP) at the Community College of Baltimore County
When studies conducted by the English Department at CCBC showed that only 27 percent of students enrolled in the higher-level developmental writing sequence passed English 101, the department decided to pilot an enhanced version of mainstreaming. Results have been spectacular.
