College Success Program at Suffolk County Community College

To help underprepared students successfully manage the demands of the first-year college experience and contribute to their overall success in college, the College Success Program at Suffolk County Community College was developed. The program is open to students who are not qualified for any grant supported programs that the college runs.

WNCC Serves Cabela’s Across the Nation

Cabela’s Inc., with headquarters in Sidney, Nebraska, is known across the United States as “the world’s foremost outfitter.”  So in 2003, when corporate leaders and former Western Nebraska Community College President Dr. John Harms were looking at how WNCC could effectively provide quality training and advanced continuing education to Cabela’s employees across the nation, the first Corporate Academy at WNCC was formed.

High School Students Take Big STEP Toward Readiness for Technical College Programs

A 10-year partnership between the local high school district and Anoka Technical College prepares students for the rigors of a technical college education and for work in manufacturing, health care, and information technology. To help displaced workers gain skills for high-demand jobs, educational options are now available online and on-site through a new initiative.
