Airline Discounts to Douglas International Airport
Discounted fares are available at the following participating conference airline:
- United Airlines is offering CIT participants 7 to 15 percent off regular fares if purchased more than 30 days prior to travel or 2 to 10 percent off regular fares if purchased less than 30 days prior to travel. Please call their meeting service desk at (800) 521-4041 and refer to group meeting code 529XZ to receive the discount.
Rental Car Discounts

Ground Transportation to the Westin and Hilton
The Charlotte Airport is served by the city bus service (CATS), taxi services, and hotel shuttle services. All ground transportation is located on the lower Baggage Claim level of the Charlotte Airport's terminal, with the exception of the city bus service.
- Taxi Services - $21
Taxi services are available for those arriving at the Charlotte Airport. These taxis are available curbside on the Charlotte Airport's baggage claim level.
- City Bus Service (CATS) - $1.20
Managed by the Public Transit Department of the City of Charlotte, CATS provides public transportation services throughout Mecklenburg and surrounding counties. The buses can be boarded on the east end of the upper level of the main terminal.
- Hotel Shuttle Services
Complimentary hotel shuttle services are provided from the Charlotte Airport to most hotels and motels in the area. The relevant hotel or motel can be contacted using any one of the four Traveler Information Centers located on the Charlotte Airport's baggage claim level.
- Airport Shuttle (704-344-0744) provides transportation from the Charlotte Airport to downtown hotels. One way per person is $10; Round trip per person is $15. Airport Shuttle leaves the airport every 20-30 minutes during peak hours and leaves downtown Charlotte every hour during peak departure hours.
