Will we recognize the future of e-learning when we see it? In a world where people and information are increasingly connected and converged, e-learning has re-emerged as an effective strategy for responding to the needs and demands of increasingly diverse, mobile, tech-savvy learning stakeholders - students, faculty, administrators and citizens alike. Yet a fundamental question remains: Can the research and effective practice guidelines that defined quality in the days of Web 1.0 continue to respond to increasingly heightened expectations for anytime, all-the-time, just-in-time, just-for-me learning experiences that engage and inspire? The presenter explores some of the exciting opportunities and challenges likely to arise as institutions consider the systematic integration of Web 2.0 technologies across curricula, the campus, and the community. |
