Today’s college students, the extremely diverse millennial generation (81 million born between 1982-2002)has been affected by involved parents, a customer service-focused society, advancements in technology and gaming, and casual communication. It is a generation divided by technology, the first generation for which Hispanics are the largest minority group and have the most educated mothers of any generation. This presentation helps faculty and staff understand the Millennial Generation’s characteristics, how it sees higher education, and how to engage its students in the classroom. |
