Terri M. Manning is the Associate Vice President for Institutional Research and the Director of the Center for Applied Research at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). Manning received her Doctorate in Higher Education with an emphasis in Health Behavior from Oklahoma State University in 1990, and has been at CPCC for eight years. Before joining CPCC, she was a full-time graduate faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) for close to eight years and at Oklahoma State University for two years. Manning was also a part-time faculty member at Tulsa Community College for seven years. She teaches research part time in the College of Education at UNCC and is involved locally with multiple social services agencies, the Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way. Manning is a program evaluator, has been president of the North Carolina Community College Planning and Research Organization, and was the Executive Director for the American Academy of Health Behavior, a national organization for researchers in the health fields. She has done institutional effectiveness consulting with multiple colleges, is a data facilitator with the Achieving the Dream initiative, and serves on visiting teams for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
