Moving
Business Processes to the Internet: The Impact and Benefit for Higher Education
This Special Session focuses on the benefits and issues faced by institutions
of higher education in their migration to, and deployment of internet-based,
enterprise management systems. The panel discusses their evolution from
traditional business operations to real-time technology processes. Discussions
focus on the building of an integrated technology infrastructure by seamlessly
connecting administrative operations across college campuses, providing
employees, students, and citizens with instant access to information and
service. The panel also addresses best practices, factors to consider in project
planning, and some of the technical and change management issues during this
kind of transition.
