Mr.
Tarence is the founder and CEO of Reveal Technologies.
Reveal Technologies is a technology company that develops
and commercializes an innovative suite of pattern recognition,
data mining, and educational intelligence tools. Reveal
is focused on packaging its solutions for the e-learning
and educational market place.
Mr. Tarence also
serves as the Managing Partner of Alliance Consulting, an educational
technology incubator. In this role, he leads a highly diverse team
of technologists, educators, and entrepreneurs in bringing futuristic
technologies to market. Alliance Consulting specializes in joint
venturing with educational entities. Its mission is to assist them
in commercializing intellectual property, thus creating new sources
of licensing revenues for these non-profit organizations.
Prior to founding
Reveal Technologies, Mr. Tarence served Houghton-Mifflin as the
Corporate Vice-President of Business Development for the Riverside
Publishing operating unit. In this role, he was responsible for
developing strategic partnerships and building creative cross-functional
teams around emerging business opportunities.
Mr. Tarence founded
Virtual Learning Technologies in April of 1997. Under his leadership
as president, VLT experienced hyper growth in the emerging E-Learning
marketplace. Mr. Tarence led in the efforts of designing, developing,
financing, and marketing a patented online assessment technology.
While focusing on long-term business strategy, he also secured strategic
partnerships with several Fortune 500 companies and top-tier educational
publishers. Within three years of the company's launch, publishing
giant Houghton-Mifflin acquired VLT in a total cash buyout.
Prior to founding
VLT, Mr. Tarence worked 12 years for IBM in various business development,
consulting, and management roles. His most recent position at IBM
was as an Emerging Technologies Practice Leader where he worked
with Fortune 1000 clients in leveraging web-based technology in
their core business processes. He managed successful consulting
engagements in many of IBM's largest accounts. Working as an Intrapreneur
at IBM, he led several collaboration projects between IBM and niche
software application development firms. He managed the negotiation
process to position these innovative solutions into IBM's international
distribution engine.
Mr. Tarence earned
a Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University in Montgomery
and Masters of Science Degree in Organizational Management from
Southern Christian University. He holds professional certifications
in several application development and process reengineering methodologies.
He is regular speaker at national conferences dealing with technology
and commercializing.
