Franklin University
Franklin University’s Community College Alliance (CCA) is a 3+1 degree completion program, offered via the internet. The program builds on the associate’s degree and allows students to complete a bachelor of science degree in one of eighteen majors without leaving their local communities. CCA was founded in 1998 as an outgrowth of Franklin’s mission to serve working adults with accessible education. Currently, more than 250 institutions across the United States have joined Franklin’s CCA program. Students complete their associate’s degree plus an additional 24 semester hours at the community college while completing a minimum of 40 semester hours at Franklin. NROC now offers over 2,500 multimedia learning objects in 34 courses and 9 discipline areas, all of which may be freely accessed by individual students and teachers worldwide at Courses in the NROC library are contributed by developers from leading academic institutions across the United States. All courses are assessed to ensure they meet high standards of scholarship, instructional value, and presentational impact. NROC works with scholars and contributes resources to improve course quality and to provide ongoing maintenance. NROC courses are designed to cover the breadth and depth of topics based on generally accepted national curricula and can also be customized within a course management system.
