Make the Most of your Exhibition Experience with the League!
Hold a session (included in your partnership) in which a current community college representative presents your product or service. Peer-to-peer selling is a formula that works well at League conferences. |
| |
Leverage your pre-conference attendee list. Sort it according to your target market (title, organization, region, etc.) and familiarize yourself with people you wish to connect with. |
| |
Consider a direct mail piece using the pre-conference list inviting attendees to your session and/or exhibition booth. |
| |
Leverage your post conference attendee list with a follow-up direct mail piece reminding attendees your organization supports higher education—namely community colleges. |
| |
If you would like emails of attendees, rent a badge scanner, which will provide your organization with this information. |
| |
If you are participating in the League’s Passport program, ask the attendee for a badge scan or business card, or ask them to listen to a 20-second “pitch” before you stamp them. |
| |
Create energy by giving away a high end prize (MP3, mini laptop, digital camera, etc.) at your booth to create traffic. |
| |
Host a reception for current and potential customers (hand out invitations at your booth or invite using direct mail and the pre-conference list). Meeting space is part of your partnership so there is no cost for space (Food and beverage is a partner responsibility, space is first-come, first-served). |
